Monarch Caterpillar Painted Magnet

This monarch caterpillar magnet is a tiny nod to the less glamorous but very important stage of butterfly life: when the mission is to basically just eat milkweed nonstop until you need a transformative nap. Big Minnesota native pollinator energy for such a tiny magnet.

Made from laser engraved maple plywood, all of my painted magnets are first engraved, then after meticulous sanding, I hand paint them one at a time. It's basically my version of adult coloring books, but with more urgency to stay in the lines. 😅 Each magnet is sealed with a satin top coat and strong neodymium magnets are added on the back for a strong, reliable hold.
