Watertown Arrows Emblem

This was one of my first large scale laser projects: a tribute to my hometown high school, Watertown, SD. It was originally inspired as a donation for an alumni fundraiser event. This large-scale Watertown Arrows Emblem measures approximately 22 in. x 16 in. and is approximately 3/4 of an inch thick when assembled. All parts were laser cut out of quality birch plywood. To achieve the two-toned effect on the main portions of the logo, details were flooded with wood stain by hand using a fine paint brush. The entire piece was then coated with a semi-gloss finish to protect it’s beauty and hometown pride for years to come.
